Why hire a coordinator for your wedding?
We absolutely love budget brides. They’re on top of things and determined to stick to their goals! However, because you’re such go-getters, you can easily put too much on your plate.
Think about all of the things that are going into your wedding, and all of the things you’re working on for your big day! You’re either buying, making, or renting a ton of stuff—linens, all the items in your centerpieces, desserts, random decor to fill up different areas and tables, aisle decorations, hand-outs… you could probably keep adding to the list until your head starts to hurt.
You’ve put so much work into all of these different elements of your big day, but who’s actually going to be in charge of them the day of your wedding? Someone has to actually set up your ceremony and reception, and you don’t want that person to be you. (Having a venue that allows you to set up the day before is a different story.)
Your wedding morning is for getting ready, spending time with your bridesmaids, and soaking it all in—not stressing out about all your wedding stuff. Maybe you have a fantastic venue or rental company that will actually set everything up (but most will only deliver your decor, so make sure to check what they’ll actually be doing), or maybe you have some amazing family or friends who want to help, and that’s great!
But. You’ll still want someone you can absolutely trust to bring your vision to life. If you would need to give any instructions AT ALL to make sure things happen the way you want them to, you probably want a coordinator.
And please, don’t ask your bridesmaids or mom to help you set up the day of your wedding! They’re probably awesome, and they’ll probably happily do it! But every moment that they’re setting up is a special moment that they’re not spending with you.
Even if you have your set-up and tear-down situations in control, what about the actual wedding itself? There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes! Vendors have to coordinate to make sure that things happen when they’re supposed to, that the right people are at the right place at the right time, that your guests aren’t waiting way too long to eat, etc. etc. etc.
Trust us. You don’t want to have to put a pause on your fairytale moment because you remembered that you have to sign your marriage license, and you have to send your maid of honor to run for it. That’s supposed to be our job!
What it really comes down to is making sure that you get to enjoy your day. Wedding coordinators handle all of the planned craziness that comes with your wedding AND the unexpected emergencies that may arise so that you can be fully present with the people who are closest to you and your new husband.
